Inspiration
Training and exercise should be want to, not have to, activities.
If exercise was fun and you looked forward to going, would you go more often? By using games, your favorite activities, and new exercises, training can be fun again.
Exercise has turned in to something that people have to put their time in on, and something to get out of the way. It doesn’t have to be. Wouldn’t you rather run around on soccer field, learn a martial art, or take dance lessons than run on a treadmill for an hour with your iPod on watching bad TV at the gym after work? I’d encourage everyone to get out and play.
Need some new ways to train outdoors?
Tired of Green Lake and the Burke-Gilman? I’ve shared some of my favorite places to get out, enjoy the city, and burn some calories. The map is interactive, so drag it around until you see the sprinter icon, and then click on it for my summary. (Hint: Check Ballard and West Seattle)
