Good History

Only by looking at where we’ve been, can we see where we want to go.

To create an appropriate plan for a client, understanding his or her history is critical. Only by having a complete picture of a client — surgeries, fractures, concussions, pain, medications, and even diet — will I have the information I need. By having both an anatomical and time-based history, I am able to identify potential causes of immobility, pain, or other problems, leading to a quicker solution.

Client history impacts where I start with a client, how far and how fast I will push him or her, their homework, and the type of support I may need from other practitioners to address client needs.
